So my buddy just gave me a runnin....

So my buddy just gave me his 81 corvette!! What the hell do I do with it???
Needs some interior work and the paint is faded in a few spots, but it runs fine.. He's moving today and drove it over, tossed me the keys and some paperwork and said its yours...but WTF do you do with a vette??

I could grow that mullet I've been thinkin of, take the t-tops off and cruse for chicks!!

Pull the motor and trany out of that over priced Camaro, and put it in something worth caring about.

If you dont have a use for it, I could be interested in it...for the motor and such for my next project.

I say, cruise it or pitch it for sale to fund your ride...or donate it to a fellow trusted HAMB;er;

A friend just sold a not so nice one of those on Ebay for $4800....Clean it up and sell it..

 

Sell it or put the driveline in something better. DId they have independant rear suspension that year? I dunno...but it'd be kinda cool for a rod or something, at least a confortable cruiser. I assume its got all sorts of neat things, AC, disc brakes, cruise control maybe? But hell, I'd take a free vette any day of the week

There is a guy on Ebay all the time selling Cheetah Body's and Chassis.
The original Cheetah's were built around Corvette parts.
That is what I would do with it...

 

Heck, me being the Diabolical Lord Disco makes me one of VERY few Dudes who really and truly LOVE "Pussy Vettes" of that vintage! No joke!

(If it was an 82, I'd already be on my way to your house...hitch-hiking if need be! )

I know Vettes of the 75-82 period don't mean squat to "real car guys" or Corvette Geeks...but I really dig 'em...and I hope this one finds an owner who really WANTS it!

Sure, they're slow and heavy...but they just look so RIGHT hauling around Disco-loving throw-backs to the 70s and the chicks who love them! Fire up the Blues Image and Village People 8-tracks and Boogie on down to Funkytown!

I have a similar problem with a '78 Trans Am. I got it for nothing, with new quarters and other parts. I thought I'd keep it around to practice my welding, bodywork and painting...a mullet though...it does have T-tops - with mirrors!! Some people have problems with women and dogs following them home, with me it seems to be cars...

 

If you want it to go to a good cause give it me and I swear I will drive it everyday. (until a hotrod gets running of course) I'll fly out there and drive it back to good ol' Texas in a heartbeat.

poor thru the old mags and find some concept car pics. Get a 55 gallon drum of resin, a few dozen yards of glass mat and cloth and have freakin party.

 

Build a gulstrand style racer replca out of it. The excess weight can come off. Build a tourqey, kinda racey engine, do the trans and suspension and enjoy a true American sports car!
