Congrats Larry. Y'all been on that thing quite a while, right? I know the feeling of FINALLY getting one done.....and it feels GOOD Share a pic how 'bout it?
Gorgeous car! I just looked at your website... holy ****, I practically drive by your shop all the time! I'm near 67 & Ashland. Can I stop by sometime or is it a closed shop?

Forgot to post proof for all of those unable to enjoy Chicago's balmy January temperatures. Joel (Hellfish) your welcome anytime . Why not make a Saturday morning of it and join us for breakfast at Chuck's
What a beautiful car! Looking forwards to seeing some updates on the Buick. Did you figure out the side window problem?
That car gives me wood. There was one for sale around here about ten years ago for $60,000 in perfect condition.
Nads A fairly rough original HK500 just went for the buy it now on the E site @72,500. Correctly restored or outstanding originals ones are next to impossible to find. The last restored FV4 that I know of recently sold for 130,000 e ($190,000) and it had a Dodge poly motor. I'm afraid to add up how much was spent on this one . Who's Gordon Keeble ? I think I should know but my mind is on overload lately. James, Figuring out the side windows on the 48 is next several weeks project will keep everyone posted on how it works out. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Facel Vegas are beautiful machines. I saw a beautiful, silver one last Saturday at the Pavillions cruise night in Scottsdale. With the Barrett Jackson Flying Circus and Medicine Show in town, the place was packed with lots of nice machines (mostly musclecars and high zoot street rod stuff). The Facel Vega was parked out of the way, off in the corner. Probably went un-noticed by most folks there, it was the highlight of the cruise for me.
I showed this to my wife and she said "WOW! those are rare! Where did they find that? Wait, how do you know rare French autos?!" We'd love to meet you guys for breakfast one of these days... it's the getting there by 7am that's killing me... Joe (no L)
Hey, Great lookin Facel Vega- Its' been said that Danoius lost money on every vehicle ( with the possible exception of the HK 500s) that he built. Good think he had the metal stamping business to keep the lights on. S****ey Devils C.C.
There was a guy here in Doodah who had a hemi Facel Vega, ran it on evilBay and never got a bid. Sold later, as I understand. I would have had to sell the house to buy it.
Where is the hamb meet and greet going to be? I am going to the show on saturday. Let me know because I would love to meet some of the guys up in chicago before I move up there next summer. Cant wait to see the car!
It's actually mr Gordon and mr Keeble.. a **** name for what was a very capable SBC 327 powered sports sedan.
A dude down in Ft. Lauderdale has one, it's tough. I told my dad, who has the money, to buy that HK, but he wouldn't listen to me. He also p***ed up the $89,000 1957 gullwing Mercedes Benz
PS, there's a guy I know who has a HK500 right here in Central Florida rotting away in a barn along with about one dozen other exotics. I just want to look at them, I could never buy 'em.
Here are two shots of one I saw in Orange County a few years ago at Cruisin' for a Cure. The rear gl*** and tail lights are so fantastic.
