No big deal to most of you guys, but I'm pretty excited. :) Got all kinds of cool options including factory air and still has (most of) its original 392. The valve cover, carb/intake, timing cover, and rocker shaft are in the trunk.. uh oh. BUT It's rust-FREE, straight as it can be, got all its trim, and couldn't be more complete. Hell, if it was any nicer I wouldn't have been able to afford it! :D Anyway, just got it home this weekend and I'm stoked. Cokers are on the way, car will be black and done in an "around '61 show car" style.
    Thanks for looking.

Put the wires on because the old tires wouldn't hold air. And because it looks bitchin with em. :D

That looks great just the way it is with the wires.
    Congrats, what a cool car.

forward look Mopars are the coolest. congratulations! my dream would be a '55 Desoto Firedome hardtop station wagon. But a '59 wagon would be pretty darn cool to.

    DAMN that's cool!
I LOVE the wire's on it, and as cracked as i might sound with this, it look's pretty damn cool with the weathered look it has too! :)
Although, i'm a sucker for a black car....

I'm a GM man for the most part, but those late 50's mopar's ALWAYS seem to get my attention.

Best of luck with it...really looking forward to what you do with it.

Didn't you dig up a similar one a short time ago, don't remember what model, but i remember it was another forward look car?? I seem to remember your feet hanging below the rocker's on something with the door closed......hmmm..:D

VERY NICE! I love the 57-58 Chryslers. Should have bought one of the 300's way back before they got so pricey, but that's hindsight. Nice score!

Good score, looks like it has Solex glass and quad headlights in it too.

I wonder why the gauge cluster is pink?

I'd love to have one, but I KNOW how many people would make a comment on how it's "the same car that was in that movie christine" and that would just make me cry!

Yep, tinted glass is standard with a/c. Did you also notice the 6-way power seat, 7-button search radio, ps/pb? It's a really loaded car.. but I've already got a swivel seat for it!

I think New Yorkers may all have that weird red gauge cluster. Here's a restored one. And no.. it won't be red and white :D black is the color!

CONGRATS Gotgas!!!! That's awesome! '57-'61 Mopars are the best.

That '58 DeSoto is still down the road from me......and the ol' bugger still won't sell.......:(

The Joe Wilhelm car has been cloned a couple of times, there is one for sale right now in Europe.

I can't chop this one man, I'm going for mild custom here and I love the super-thin roofline. I might be able to use a driver's tail light housing.

You sure that's a '57...??? I thot only '58's came with dual headlights...

Time to get out my Chrysler book and check...

Nice score, BTW...they make bitchin' looking cars...

    R-

self EDIT: Yep...'57 it is...the '58's had an "abbreviated" taillight (shorter lense)...guess that's what I was thinking of...
