Hey,Bluto aint nothin wrong with going fast thats what its all about .but a chop like yours really would make a sweet taildragger
im in! ---- this one has never been apart / not too far apart anyway. engine runs on the stand - i just push it around. 40 fords rule! i might give it up if someone wantedit bad.
Well if you have a `41 it does'nt quite fit anywhere. Can't hang with the `39's and `40's, and the `46- `48's don't wanna know me either. So what the heck I'm gonna crash this party anyway....... and now the carc***......
39's, 40's. 41's....why the hell not! They are all hot rods~~~ We are all part of the bigger deal anyway!!!! Ebert
Here's my '40 Deluxe Tudor I found in 1998. It was bought new by a couple in Canton, SD and they owned it until 1975 when the husband died. I am the third owner.
No pics, but I've owned a tudor for over 25 years, and also own part of a coupe (old fire victim needing LOTS of help).
Well, OK. if 39's are allowed, heres my standard I bought last year. it sat in a driveway for 25-30 years. Has a 283 in it, otherwise all stock drivetrain, with a FULL red and white tuck and roll interior. Heres my Brothers 40 pickup as well!
4tford, thanks.....its a work in progress. I see you've taken the Don Garlits approach to building a 40 by stuffing a hemi in it !! Looks good.
I'm a Mopar guy but 40 Fords are my favorite car for a hot rod so vintage hemi with vintage 40 car fit the bill just right.
I have a '40 Pick Up equipped with a 364 Nailhead mated to the original Ford drive train and a '40 Tudor project shaping up on a '41 Seadan delivery frame equipped with a 303 Olds, Hydro and Olds rear axle. Unfortunately I am too much of a computer pinhead to post pics.
