Love that car!!!! Looks so good with the wires- and the patina rocks!!! I would switch my Chevy and Ford loving ways for a relationship with a car like that!!! Great score- I have now switched out a space on my Top 10 favorites that did not include a Mopar!
I already told you how damn happy i am for ya bro, but i got to say - after seen these other pix, im REALLY excited for ya' now.....congrats, again! Flaco
Wow! I can't wait to see this car on the road. You sure don't see them much at all. Nice score. Malcolm
Oh my God Brother, that is a fine ass score. It is incredible that all the chrome and stainless are on the rig. One of the best of the best!!! The posts of the restored black one and the great engine reference pictures are a nice touch from the other Bros! Enjoy !!! a mo-par pal-Sololobo
Man... that guy's got AWESOME taste in cars. Thanks again everyone, glad to see I'm not the only idiot that digs it.
No big deal, ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!!!! What a huge score, love those 50's mopars and sounds like this one is in the right hands. Gary
First priority!!! GET RID of the single res master cylinder! BAAAAAAD personal expirence with one of those Mine was a '58. Same car, same color, loads of fun. I miss mine a lot. Check out www.hothemiheads.com for every part you could ever need to bring that hemi back to life.
This is the 1st thing i thought of too...I love these things esp cause of the HEMI...Awesome find and looks really kool with them wires!!
My dad had a black '57 two-door. My mom made him trade it for a '58 four-door when I was born. I think I still have a picture of it going through a Redwood tree when I was a kid. I'll see if I can find it. Great find! Looks like all the trim is there too. You can spend tears trying to find Mopar parts.
yeah, i'm on board. that is one of the coolest cars ever in my worthless opinion. I'm jazzed for ya brother.
I'll never understand why the first thing that's said about someones new ride is "lets chop the shit out of it". News flash, "NOT EVERY CAR HAS TO BE CHOPPED TO BE COOL", and this one is no exception. Leave it the way it is and follow your recipe for finishing it. Black would put it over the top with all of the stock stainless and chrome redone. It will take some serious $$$$$'s to finish it that way but well worth the effort and cost. That 392 HAS to be brought back to it's fighting shape as well. I spent a few of my growing up years riding in the backseat of one just like it and white to boot. I still remember the feeling when my dad decided to pass someone and the 392 went to work. He would look over at me and smile like "don't tell your mom we're having this much fun". Hope your able to finish the vision and get it back on the road. Be sure to share it with us. Frank
Frank.. thanks for that, man. Your story put a grin on my face. Put a battery in her tonight and whaddya know.. she does a pretty mean Christine impression. Thanks for all the encouragement guys. I've got my vision for this car pretty well nailed down. All my buddies will attest to the fact I've been whining about not finding a solid DeSoto/Chrysler for years. Well now I've got it and it will be done. Anyone got an early Hilborn for a Chrysler? The kind with the tubes that angle with the head instead of making the turn and standing vertical?
I parked my 57 Dodge next to a 57 Chevy.....amazing difference. The Dodge is much lower and makes the Chevy look stodgy. No body mods needed to FL Mopars!
