came across this link, thought it was interesting! http://www.supercarforums.co.uk/chatforum/viewtopic.php?t=30&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
There is a '63ish Iso Rivolta in a junkyard here in Fort Worth, it still has its magnesium wheels and 365hp Chevy 327. Needs a lot of help!
What kind of Nancys are on that board? I'm seeing a lot of "too far gone" and a "too late for this one" comments. I'll bet metalshapes could fix every car in that thread in two weeks time. I used to work near a place that had some swoopy bodied sports car rotting away behind a chain link fence. Kind of a "Mabee Special-ish" shaped body... but I don't know enough to even venture a guess as to what it really is/was. There's an old Jag rotting away in a driveway up the street too.
dang , my work computer has red X's when i want to see car pics, but it lets those avitars thru ....not that im complaining
x2 best of both worlds. I had a jag once, an XJ-S with the V12. One time a guy comes up to me when I'm pumping gas and says, 'hey, I bet you get a lot of women with that car." I said, "Yeah, I break down in front of their house and they come out to see what's going on." Funny and true.
sing it boys...smack that.... till you get sore.... smack that.... give me some more... smack that...yeah baby.
More actually.Wheels alone run to over $5000 each and then you have to have the special axles for the diff at close to $10,000 each. I see these every day here and I can tell you a second hand steering box is $6000.
No telling how old those pics are or where they originated. Dollar-to-a-donut says almost all of these cars were bought and rescued, otherwise these photos wouldn't exist. Might be the most expensive 800 bucks you ever spent on a fixer-upper! So which one of you will be using A1's avitar on the HAMB? Patrick
Well one i recognise immediatly, this is Derek Jetmars project car.. go here to see what he did with car... http://www.ritzsite.net/280SL63/01_SL63.htm
Edit by Kevin Lee: Please do not post this again. Thank you. she looks like someone i know, i thought it was her for a minute, except she doesn't tan
99% of that ****'ll buff right out it is pretty sad to see some of em, specially them maserati's and lambo's
Probably the same ISO I was trying to buy a couple years ago from Cowtown, off Business 287 in Arlington. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140837&highlight=italian Not sure where the pictures went.
Looks a little bit like a Lancia Aurelia B 24 thats been heavily modified in the front. Most likely not though.
