I sold my chopped car, and my current ride is not. Once you've had a chopped car, there is no going back! I can't wait until my top is dropped again... Cool chop!!!

    you went straight?
now the car has one vertical feature
at least you won't notice too much when it's painted black

    looking forward to seeing it
    I'm sure it looks great
    you sure nailed the chop

I specifically chose straight B pillars just because you wanted slanted.

Actually, I want the car to look like a mild custom factory job...nothing wild...perhaps something Hudson's designers would have built if they had their way...

Glad you kept them straight, that PS with the slanted B pillars makes it look like you chopped a 4dr since all the window holes are the same size. Now it looks, appropriately, like a coupe. Good job man...

Man Keith, that looks killer! It's amazing how drastic an improvement just 2" does! The rear of the roof really flows now and like you said the bubble is gone. Good choice on the straight pillars. I'm normally a slanted pillar guy and if you just look at the pillar, the slant looked ok. But looking at the whole car the straight pillar clearly looks better and certainly more factory. The window shapes front and rear just looked odd slanted. I can't wait to see this in person.

    Ok, Ok...

Here are a couple of "teaser" shots. I'll start a new update thread on Thursday with the real progress shots. These are what it looked like before I started working on it this past weekend...

The C pillar areas. Note how nicely the rear roof line matches up now. I just have to add in a 4" strip across the back.
I actually wound up removing 4 inches of material below the window.

And here's a profile shot to show the roof line... Note, I don't have the B pillars done yet, the door frames in...

And I really like this one...

That looks real nice. I would have voted slanted but i see your point with the windows being out of proportion. i think one reason why fords and mercs look good slanted is cause the quater window gets alote smaller when you chop. but since the hudson starts out with a huge window the slant is not needed.
