Or a laser cutting type tool? I've got a project for the school where I work that I'd like to see if it could be done, and I think these'd be the best way to go. The idea I have would be basically a large keyring with the words "Comp***Lab" in large block type letters - even in whatever font it could be done in. Thicker material (1/8in, 3/16in, etc) would be great, as I wouldn't want this to be too heavy. And to have a keyring hole done in one end would also be a plus. Its basically a keyring to keep teachers from losing or taking home the key to the big lab the entire sixth grade team uses. I don't know if anyone could help me out, but it'd be greatly appreciated if possible. Anyway, if this could be done, please let me know. Thanks in advance guys!
Do you have any contacts over at Tulsa Tech? I bet they would be more than happy to run something on a CNC machine. I know most of the Tech schools are happy to help other schools.
Jerry Spradlin at Wescon Machine has one here in Conway if you haven't found one yet. You can pm me for his #. My father in-law has a laser tube (and maybe bar) cutter at his shop, but he is a full production facility and he would probably have to run a few hundred at least. But Jerry might run one or two on his waterjet.
