Hi, Sorry, I know it's Tech week, but.... Our room just feel through for Paso and there are three of us who need a place to crash. Anyone know of anybody cancelling their hotel room or camp site. Know anyone who will share a camp site or let us camp out on their lawn. Thanks for the help! Please return to Tech Week and sorry for the interuption. Tim
There is a huge overflow campground at Lake San Antonio - they never turn anyone away. Its about a 25 min. drive NW from Paso (past Lake Nacacimiento) but at least its a place to stay. I stayed there several times. Other option: call the motels in Cambria on the coast (about 20 min. drive SW) they seem to allways still have rooms even on Paso/Memorial weekend.
Yeaaa man I am in the same boat... I am nice n quiet and only need a place on Friday night. I will pitch in on a room and stay on the floor or whatever. blake 909.515.0040 cell
Thanks Cleatus - thats the kind of info I'm lookin for. Nic - PM'd you back, see you there one way or another. Momentumfoto - We are looking for a place to crash I've actually found a few place with rooms still, but very pricey, we may end up campin, I'll give you a call and if something turns up. Cheers. I love this place.
Cleatus... I think we are going to be in the same boat also. Going to sleep under the stars. Can you get more info on that campsite? I got a buddy going with me. Am going with a group of other cars but we plan to split up once we get there. I'll be the one with the black 59 Impala ragtop. Travis

there are some old army barracks that I stayed at about 3 years ago. Its about 10 to 15 min. North of Paso right off the hiway. I just followed my buddies because I wanted a place to sleep that wasnt in the dirt. I have no contact num. but the barracks are still there. Jerry Jagger
Travis, To get to lake San Antonio: Spring Street north and it T's into the road you want (I believe it is called G-14, but not sure) Turn left and go 7.7 miles to a right hand turn for Lake Nacimiento and Lake San Antonio. Keep going past Nacimiento - over the dam (don't bother looking for a camp there - always full) keep going quite a ways down that road and looking for a sign on the right for Lake San Antonio. Turn right and follow that all the way to the ranger station, they'll tell you where to camp. Wasn't as hard to find as it sounds. Or...just camp in the big parking lot on the other side of the buildings just a block east of the Paso park. I always see people there and looks like plenty of room. The weather is supposed to be decent (80's) so you won't die of heat on the asphalt.
