I have always been in awe of the full bodied diggers of the late '60s. They may be the best poster child for drag racing, since they don't look like any other racecars!

Hanna probably had a hand in some of the best styled cars. You couldn't find a better metal man to recreate the era, in a tribute car.

    Here is a favorite.

the pictures do not do that car justice. it is incredible... every inch of it. you have to see it in person to fully appreciate it.

I would keep it in the house, next to the pool table in the game room.

No **** Beet. I just don't have a link to Hume's work. Even back when I was a kid there was a clearly defined PNW style. Very subtle stuff.

  20. Was at Jim Hume's workshop in 2004 and saw that LSR car going together, the man is a metal working genius.

I also had the privilge to see his woodworking as well, freaking awesome, that man has so much talent.

Thats rite! Jim's woodworking skills match his metal work. His rocking chairs sell for 3K+ out of gallerys. Always welcomes anyone to visit his shop, great guy.........OLDBEET

  22. Those rocking chairs are perfectly smooth and he doesn't use sand paper.

I loved his display room with his Faberge style eggs and beautiful cabnetry.

Beautiful. I love the thought put into safety on a somewhat dangerous setup.

I still don't think I could hang the boys over a rear end and be able to concentrate.

Dear God. I feel fortunate just to have looked at pictures of that thing. I can't even imagine being the one who built the stuff in those pictures. Unbelievable work. Just unbelievable.

That is truly inspirational. A lot of smart details, the extra gussets on the motor plate, the foot brake/parachute release, etc.
