Livin here in SD is nice except there is very few traditional rods and runs and only one good swapmeet a year so the i-net in nessicary. I still dont know noone thats into hotrods, that arent 50 grand. i grew up in a junk yard and still have a little shop in the middle of em. be working on hot rods and projects since i was 16. seems before that my pa wouldnt let me use the junkyard parts, hes given up trying to make a college boy out of me and suppots me trying to make a buck off old cars, its hard tho. Its hard just to find parts for a decent price here in socal and im sick of sbc's in everything but there free for me.well gotta go to my shop and pull a rearend and put a steering wheel on a 57chevy-late
Welcome Junkyardkid. I know what you're talking about, I'm still figuring out all this computer stuff myself. Sounds like your living the dream, surrounded by a wrecking yard. Love wrecking yards, every cars got a story to tell. Agree with you about sb chevys but theres a reason their so popular. $ for horse power they are hard to beat. I'm a flathead, rocket olds, nailhead or caddy engine guy myself. Talk to you later and have a great Thanksgiving
Hey Ill be back in 3 months "Iraq atm" but I am going to be buildingmy first flathead 59ab and dropping it in a huge pile of rust that was a 28-29 roadster I just bought. We should keep in touch.
