Jim Jard in Houston had the Kennedy Brothers build the tribute. If I recall the conversation with Jim correctly, he tried to track down the original. As all of Jim's cars and everything out of the Kennedy Brothers shop, it kicks ****. I thought it was strange that Monogram did it as a roadster?

Some pics of a completed model. I have to say, it was pretty neat finding out that this was patterened after a genuine article hot rod. I bought it years ago already built for a dollar.

My name is Bob Swan. My grandfather was Frank Bash good friend w/ Freddy Allen who might be connected to the DEUCE. I’ve been going through lots of old photo and found a few that might interest you. Do you guys recognize this drag car? Thanks

"the outlaw" joe nocentino's rail that was a fred allen creation out of phill. FYI the remnents of this rail have been given to joe nocentino's son in hopes that it be re-created. a good friend had the rear alum swoop body, the front axel & a few other odds & ends off of the original rail.
hopefully we will se it recreated to it's original glory.

This old thread revived !! - - - you gotta love the Jalopy Journal !!
The Satan being a Philadelphia Area car, check out a newer thread, "Old Time Philadelphia Area Hot Rods and Drags" Besides the "Satan's Deuce" there are a lot of pictures of other cars from that era and the Philadelphia Modifiers too.

Yes that video is awesome !!!! Although I was friends with some the Satans guys, I was too young at the time to be able to travel to where they raced. I was 14 in 1958, so I never actually got to see the car run down the track. I only got to the drags at Hatfield and Langhorne in Pa. in those days I would hitchike to the drags. I did see the Satans car at Hatfield Drags once in 1958 or 1959, they did not race it, for what ever reason.
That car was hauling *** in that video and sounded awesome !

The picture of the Satan coupe was one of the many I took at the 1957 Oklahoma NHRA Nationals.

bobyhist, which picture is yours?? Did you see the Satans Deuce run at Oklahoma City in 1957 ? Do you remember what times it ran ? I am curious about the performance. I remember that everyone talked about how it was a stand out performer!!
