California print salesman for forty years. Bought a 34 ford coupe, kit car.
I am having problems getting a ***le for it and was in hopes someone out there might know a ***le service for kit cars.
I thought selling was tough until I found all the resistance from the CA DMV. No VIN # NO ***LE CAN'T FIND THE SELLER.

Welcome from Yucaipa, Ca. Several years ago I built a travel trailer, took it to the DMV and they issued a vin # for it, listed as special construction. Now I'm not sure this would apply to a car? With all the smog laws and such. You might contact AAA, if your a member, and see what they know. I now do all my DMV renewals, change of ownership, with them. I've also seen a company advertizing tiles for sale for different years and makes of vehicles. Check Hemmings Motor News for this.

since it is a kit car you can use any car as a doner so if you still have the orig**** cowl section of the car in place you can ***le it as that veh. I use to build lamborgini kit cars at a fiber gl*** shop and we used pon feiro cowl sections for that. what kind of car was the kit made from? or was it fabed from scratch? There are other ways too PM me with the details mabe I can help we use to do this stuff all the time
