I got this pickup from my dad when I was 11, I'm 16 now and itchin to do something with it! I've had some ideas, but this is the only one thats really shined through to me. What do you guys think? Heres my pickup. Ultimatley, I want to take it from this.... To this.....
Your really leaning towards the Truck'n type boards with that thing. However, Ill try to steer you since my 1st vehicle ever was a 76 F100 Longbed. There is a Chopped (probably 3 inches) 69-71 Shorbed here in my home town. They did a awesone job on the chop, but it still looks weird. I wouldnt chop one. Far as making it to a short bed, you dont win a lot there either since once you lower them, the longbeds look KILLER! For lowering it, deffinitly. Youll have to replace the front and rear suspension totally, so you can toss the 3/4 Ton ****. You dont have to lower them very much to get a huge difference in the look of the truck. Thats a nice truck, Dirk. I think for now, I'm just gonna do the suspension, since i still wanna be able to drive it up to long beach, and if I start doing all the chopping and stuff, it will probably still be in peices by september. I may just keep it like that. Cheaterslick: What?
I think thinkin's a dangerous thought when you're 16..geez I miss dangerous thinkin! just slam it on the ground and get it in ONE smooth COLOR of primer (NB-black aint a color!) That truck looks pretty straight....enjoy the hell outta it!
i think you should jack it up, put some deep dish rims around 15", whack some mudzilla tyres on it and use it to transport hot rod parts but the turning circle wouldnt be to good on them so i guess big tyres wouldnt help haha
