Greetings everyone. I'm a member of the Stovebolt Page and have come across this site several times. I am looking to contact the person/persons who posted S-10 frame swap tech pages several years ago on this site. One of the first posts shows three 47-53 AD trucks all in flat black. One is a convertible with white top, the next is a GMC with chopped top, and the last is another chevy. They all sit nice and low and all have S-10 frames. There is no mention of wheel spacers being used like most info on S-10 frame swaps says you need in the front. I was wondering if spacers were used and if not what wheel and tire combos were used because they all look great! Thanks in ADvance:D

Still looking for the frame swap info?
    Try this site:www.ad-engineering.com
You'll find out that they do require the use of spacers on that front axle as well, and suggest trading out the rear for a 4x4 as well....Good luck

You don't have to run a wheel spacer up front but if you don't the wheels will set in really far. I know of one truck with S10 frame swap and he is running 20x8 wheels with no spacer and has no issues and can just about turn his wheels lock to lock with out hitting anything. If you do decide to use a spacer your best bet would be to use a 2" one. As far as the rearend goes if you want to run a wide tire out back you can leave the stock S10 rear but you can always swap them out with a four wheel drive S10 rear that is 2" wider.

  6. Welcome to the hamb. The info you are looking for can be found in the tech archive. Easier to search on google for it though. It will search the hamb. The guy that did the article is Clark. You can look him up in the member pages and PM him. Pat.
