Build a badass '40 Ford like this one... Sorry to interupt tech week, but I remember seeing that this car was built by a HAMBer (recognized the vert windshield surround) and wanted to congratulate them on some more press. Now if I could just remember who the hell it was! I don't always agree with what SR thinks is "nicely-done", but I couldn't agree more on this one (page '62 of the July issue). Curt
Congrats Rudy, But I think they messed up the names. I'm sure they'll be looking to do a feature on it after a couple of events.
Rudy Woodward??? More quality professional journalism complete with exhaustive fact-checking and proof-reading from the staff at STREET RODDER! They get "better" every month! Anyhow...Congratulations, Rudy! The car has got to be seen in person to truly be appreciated, though...it is a rolling work of ART!
I forgot to add, Kerry Hopperstad (bottle) is in there too with the modified that the kid in his shop is building. Very Cool!
very nice car!!!! ----- but what's that thing being in a mag?? --- if the owner of the mag is a friend of course he's welcome to give my car in his magazine - but if he isn't the owner -- what the hell - why should they get money for printing my car in any mag?? - I don't like that - how does it it work in america - do you guys get money for it?? - in europe you wouldn't --- maybe it sounds bader then I mean it
That's me alright My real name is David Ruedisueli. Rudy is a nickname. Walt Woodard is the guy I bought the project from. He had done alot of work to the car before I got it and had a bucketload of money invested and took real beating when he sold it. So I fugured I would give him some build credit. Needless to say he was pleased with the out come of the car. Trust me guys this is no trailer queen. I build nice enough cars to show in the big show and then they are driven hard and put away dirty I;ll be at BilletProof Detroit and then on to GG Indy and Columbus. Thenks again for the recognition and the kind words. And if any of you guys see me come on over kick the tires jump in try the tuck and roll job on for size and have a beer with me. lastly let's not forget to give Eric Geisart Photo credit. Thanks Eric. Not how 'bout a full feature
Rudy's (Roadstar)real name is David Ruedisueli. He has gone by the name Rudy forever. He wanted to give credit to Walt Woodward, the fellow he purchase the '40 from, for the work he did on the '40 before Roadstar got ahold of it and took it in the direction he did. The mag wrote the caption using the info from the sign which had the 3 names on it. It's not the mags fault, thats just how it was interpreted. Congrats Rudy! Well deserved recogition. Looks like you saw this before me, either that or you type faster. I had to look up a few words in the dictionary, so I got slowed down abit
[ QUOTE ] Ha ha looks like my cover is blown. [/ QUOTE ] Now all those stalkers you have will be able to find you.
our own crease was in the same issue of street rodder with his beautiful 34? coupe we all saw at the roundup. His car is in the coverage of the San Antonio car show.....
On a much more serious note. Rudy has already been congratulated by all of the mid-Michigan Bitches but a note here won't hurt. Everyone that's seen this car has been IMPRESSED, to see it in person makes you a believer. It has fantistic finish, well thought out build plan and obviously has been constructed by someone who knows how it should be done. I for one can't wait to see it out on the road racking up the miles. It's going to draw some admiring comments and looks where ever it goes. I'm hoping for a ride as the chassis is exactly like what I'm going to put together for my wife's '40. Frank

[/ QUOTE ] What is Crease's real name? There are no '34's, but there is a channeled '33 and a few deuces (including that UNBELIEVABLE full-fendered deuce with the slanted A-pillars that was in the TRJ article about the Roundup a few issues back).
Frank, he has put many, many miles on it already. We've gone to Ohio to help build the RRT BBQ trailer in it and he drives it over to my place all the time (60 miles roundtrip) for us to go out in. I've spent more seat time in his '40 then in his Envoy. It's practically a daily driver for him.
Actually that car looks just like mine, but it's owned by Chris "Niederkram". My name is Chris Niederkrom. However, it's the identical spittin image of my 33'. Thanks for the props 30Roadster. I was really happy to see the car covered. The Gear Grinders called me about 30 minutes before the gates shut and invited me to bring the car down. The crime scene display was compliments of Slick Willie and the cones he "borrowed" from the San Antonio Police Department.
