Man, I am sick today. I should be in bed but I just got my wheels balanced so I had to put them on. I cant believe how much difference they made. The only thing I have to ask myself is why didnt I change them earlier.
The Height kinda bummed me out. I heated the springs as far as they will go. But the taller Bias tires brought it up an inch or so.. Im gonna have to air bag it now..
That does it. I'm getting me a set of those for my 59. What size rims/tires you got on there? Looks effin good. Travis
Thanks Guys, Hey Travis.. They are G78-15's the rims are 7 inches wide too. They fill the wheel wells up real nice. Heres a better shot too.
Damn Rainer, I love 60 Caminos. Looks sweet. My rims are reversed rims so they have alot of offset. The offset fills it up. I looks like your rims dont have much offset.
I have to admit I like it with the mags and the white walls. The car takes on two totally different attitudes. But there is nothing wrong with having the best of both worlds. Great looking car man. Very
Man I cant take it anymore! I NEED to find myself a 60 impala now.... I liked it both ways, but the wide whites on chromed steelies is where its at! Looks good man.
I take delivery of a 60 Impala 4dr this weekend. I'm ecstatic. The 4drs don't look as nice as the 2 but I'm still grinning ear to ear. The car is white and the first thing I thought about was lowering it. It may be a winter project to put airbags in it...as finances will allow anyhow. I definately like the ww tires much better.
i've been running moons for about 10yrs now. the bed is in bare metal right now so it's off the road (and in need of a paint job too).
Hey redpunk, I like the new wheel combo!! I lowered my Impala by removing 2 coils, and It rides just fine. Every now and then it will bottom out but its is because I'm doing somthing stupid. Happy Trails, Mick
Chrome reverse wheels will remain eternally cool, I loves 'em to death. I've got a set on my '54 Chevy with spyders. The car's full on traditional '50s custom, but I wanted to give it just a little bit of late '50s, early '60s flavor. Rainer, I hate you.
