My name's Eric. I've been into the rat-rod and rockabilly culture forever, but I've only recently gotten a car to match. It's a 1963 Ford Fairlane four-door in its original black paint with red trimlines. She's rough, but in pretty good shape overall. The red interior is perfect for my plans for the car: I envision satin black paint with red rims and trim, pinstriping designs, and fat whitewalls - Sort of a mesh of g***er/rat rod styles... I'll need all the help I can get since I've spent most of my life working on newer EFI cars.

The term itself or the vehicular style? Is 'kustom' better then?

Mainly the term itself... the main topic of this board is traditional hot rods...

Shiney is nice and not much more work if you're doing things right.
