Sure, it's been done. Some successful, some not.

    Let's see some pics.

Seems to me that the T body wouldn't be wide enough for the duece rails. I've never seen one.

I guess I was wrong. The Touring is really cool. The sectioned duece rails would look awsome with a T roadster sitting on em.

That was the whole idea behind Shadow Rods.

I know they've been posted many times: Jack McGrath's, Phil Weiand's, and Jim Rathman's track roadsters come to mind. They established the pattern for T roadsters.

    Thanks, those are great everyone.

Alex, I don't think I ever saw that T/32 you have there. The pic of Ron's tub is cool, even WITH the bozos!!hahahaaa

I also really like the channeled roadster with the rockers m***aged to match the reveal in the frame, neat.

    Yeah, Ron's is great...:D

The Unchopped T on Deuce Rails is the one I built a couple of years ago.

That was a really cool project...

It was in the same family for a long time.
The original builder stopped working on it at some point, but kept it in a barn.
His son finally got it from him, and brought it to me to for the Fabrication.
It got here with several boxes full of NOS/Unused Hot Rod Parts that were bought for it in the '50s...
It was Channelled over a A frame but we had to change that because that wouldn't give him enough space to be comfortable.

He brought his Dad over a couple of times, who loved the Deuce Frame.
The one he felt really strongly about was that it would not be Chopped.

I havent seen it in a while, but its on the Road and being Driven.

And it will always stay in the same Family....:)

Wasn't Andy Southard's '27 RPU on Deuce rails? Go have a look at his book (everybody owns a copy, right?).

  25. About the ***iest Hot Rod ever built.

  27. I missed that one. I love this car, ran a Lycoming inverted 6 cylinder aircraft motor:eek:. I believe it latter sported a Potvin style crank mounted blower:D.

I'll throw mine out there too.

To make it fit the 32 frame, I cut the cowl in half, set the body on the frame to match the width then welded a 3" section in and smoothed the cowl (gas) door. The lower portion of the firewall was made from flat sheet metal and welded into place. The extra 3" in the width helped with foot room too.

    Regards, Dave

My all time favorite 27! Everything is right on this car, natch.
Does anybody know if Keith pinched the rails or widened the body? Looks original at the cowl
