I'm looking for source for the stainless or Aluminum that they use on the back doors for semi truck trailers.... or some old diners. I often wondered where the salvaged trailer went.. FrankBoss www.PintoWorks.com
I used to get ALOT of aluminum from the local Gooseneck horse trailer place. A case of beer is usually worth about $500 worth of aluminum.
check truck storage yards they always get wreaked or twisted ones that they unload the cargo out of waiting to be scaped or fixed. my family owns some trucking storage on the mexican border and trailers are always getting trashed, one thing that happens alot is we dig a trench, fill it, it rains, idiot parks trailer with out wood under legs, trailer sinks, sometimes just one leg, which then trows everything off a flat bed, or twists the **** out of a trailer. we got a whole load of granite like ten years ago, have built several kitchens and stilll have a bunch left. a roll of sheet steel trashed a fence and we had a hell of a time getting it back on the truck they way like 12 tons. Cut up and thrown away more boats then i care to think about, torn rvs apart with a backhoe, draged a city bus two miles to the s****yard where the guy droped the big claw thro the back with me still in it, yikes
Another place to check are commercial A/C and refrigeration companies. All the old units are typically junked on a trailer out back. Our local guy lets me dig through to get what ever s**** I want.

I've been waiting to see somebody use that quilted stainless for a firewall or interior trim pieces or something. Look up quilted stainless on ebay or kitchen backsplash. there are several places that will size it to order.
I wanted to use some of this on my modified but haven't been able to locate any s****. I could buy it new but what would that say!
yes I'm leaning to making a fire wall and a dash inserts. I have a Teardrop I haven't skinned yet either. I'm still looking for used local (IE Oklahoma) if that doesn't pan out I might just use Aluminum and be boring. FrankBoss www.PintoWorks.com
