  5. Don't know if you noticed the hood ornament mounted on the console?

You got it - I couldn't put my finger on it. It has the hubcap look combined with a mag wheel dish - makes a conflict in my little brain.

I agree he builds a wonderful car. I'd die for it - wheels and all.

WOW, I just got home from dinner and a movie with the wife, it looks like I missed the BJ action... That merc's going to look good going 200mph at Daytona in February, and taking the checkered flag... Better than a Camry !

Beautiful merc! You guys slay me finding something wrong with the wheels! AT least he tried to stay close to old caddie hubcaps and in the process spent a hell of a lot of money doing it. I think they are bitching but if you don't like them I know I'm in for a lot of criticism when I put my wheels on.(long way off) Thanks BOBBY FORD

No, not really. Those are Colorado Customs "catalog" billets. (I guess you could call them "collector" wheels now since CC's out of biz, but I heard Al still makes some of the old designs through his new deal in Calif). They're magazine wheels--he could throw gennie Caddy caps on anything he has built, but obviously chooses not to. To me it's like wearing $200 Nike Airs with a tuxedo.

Does anyone know what kind of frame this car rolls on? Everything says olds, but not specific.

    Thanks for your help.

Does Rick Dore work on these cars, Everything I've read makes it sound like he's more of a contractor of the project ?
