Well got a few more things done on the 32 Drag ch***is. Opted for the raised motor for two reasons. Gove it older style race look and to keep from having to modify the rear x-member for linkage issues. The tail shaft will lower 3 degrees from where it sits in the pics. I also added some 2x4 tubing to strenghten up the sides from where the stock 40 braces were. Drilled some 3" holes to match the stock holes in the X.

Next up were the motor mounts. Slide came out for his usual shop working time and we got the old SBC mocked up in the Jig. Man my old lift worked great for this. The main reason I bought it was for this. This was actually the first time I got to use it for this. Anyhow Got the motor mounts from plate etc. They are 90 percent done and are supporting weight now but I am gonna make them look alittle neate with a plata one the back side following the edge with some holes in them.

goal was to have this out of the jig last night but did not make it. I am gonna add a tubing peice (like B*** did) to attach the ladder bars to the 2x4 that I added. I really like the way his laid out and after all the p***es he made this year at the Day of The Drags we all know it was strong.

    Heres some pics.

Rusty, Is that the frame that came with that body? Here in Arkansas some of the late Studebakers came with SBC's but we still called them SBC's.:D

Okay. Nice save job on the frame. I thought maybe you had second thoughts about the wagon power.
