Everytime I log on, I get a message telling me that I haven't posted anything for several weeks. That's because I usually don't have anything to say or share. With that said, I think I have something to share. Here's a few pics of what I've been up to lately.
Nice work, but doesn't look like you have much clearance between your axle and frame. shouldn't your spring perches be out further on your rear axle. what body you putting on that chassis/
There's a SBC 327 underneath that cover. It's pretty tight in my shop, so I keep it covered while I'm cutting and grinding. Nothing fancy. The engine was free, my brother found it for me. As for the frame to rear axle clearance, I think the camera angle makes it look lower than it is. I do agree that the spring perches could have been out a little further. I will address that before painting. As for the body, it will be a 1941 chevy pick-up cab and bed. I realize that alot of people don't care for that style. None the less, that's what I started out to build and I plan on finishing that way. I'm just trying to do the best job that I can. Thanks for the comments.
without any weight on it your shackle should be almost straight out. can't remember right now the measurement but somewhere around 47 inches perch to perch using a stock model a rear spring
