sorry,,just a quick question to get the part number for an offset U-joint to go from big chevy to small chevy U-joint,, normally,,i would spend the time at the parts house and dig my nose through the catalogs, but was hoping to pick up one on my lunch break to put this thing back together tommorow night! thanks in advance!
I wish it was that easy.....the napa number for the common small joint with outside clips is...369.....then there are at least 3 large sizes that I know of.....can you give me some sort of idea what the large size is ...on the cross and the size of the bearing cap ?...with those I can help ....thanks...BC
thanks, ...i didnt realize there were that many sizes... i called the local driveshaft place this morning and he said the same thing you did Bill, i will have to check when i get home tonight. i am swapping rear ends and the new rear end is 71 nova. but not sure what the old rear end and driveshaft came out of,other than it is a 70's-(maybe early80's) chevy 10 bolt that is 62" wide with small pattern and originally had the gm 4 link type suspension and standard thread wheel studs.( i know, not much help ) the rear end has a "B" above the yoke on the housing ( impala?)
ok,,how about a number to go from 369 to 235 in regards to the old rear end/driveshaft...... the possible rear ends i think it might have been all use the 235 u joint
i think i found it. 235(534g )X 369 = PUJ 372 thanks. http://www.napaonline.com/NOLViewer/Pages/Detail.aspx?R=14735&ShowPics=1
