ive always wondered what this is, we used to get drunk here when i was a kid. i think its a 38 chevy, but thats just a wild guess.stripped clean except for the metal door strikes. any ideas? sorry if anyone dislikes pictures of junk, but i know theres plenty of folks on here that like old junk!
Not a 38 Chevy but looks like GM, maybe a Buick, Olds, or Pontiac looking at the split rear window and tailite mounting holes behind the side chrome trim holes. Also trunk transition is smooth, Chevy has a crease running downward.
There are many kids out there, not unlike yourself, that will surely burn in hell for smashing these rusty cars up with big rocks.
Wow, that thing is truly gone. Did you throw rocks at while you were drinking? Don't worry, you won't burn in hell. I would have thrown rocks at it too.
39 Buick? I say that cuz it looks A LOT like the rusty Buick I have in my yard right now... so rough that it can only be good for a vintage stock car.
Looks like early 40s to me, 40,41 GM. Just recently looked at 41 chev 4 dr that looked reasonably close to that. Probably oldsor buick though the split rear window doesn't fit, hmmm
I don't care what anyone says, little primer, maybe some red steelings and a flaming skull antenna topper, you got yourself a hell of a rat rod. Hell leave the rocks up on the roof and keep it "traditional".
I think the split back window looks sort of Hudson-ish. I think I remember the GM split windows being a lot less symetrical top to bottom, though I'm not very familiar with that generation of cars. The full quarter window behind the back door on a 4-door body with a trunk would suggest a high line car with substantial rear seat leg room, if I am not mistaken. I also think that the substantially longer rear door compared to the front door fits with a high-line car as well. Not necessarily a luxury brand, but probably a higher end model.
That is not really a car anymore, but very Fe2O3·nH2O, iron(III) oxide-hydroxide (FeO(OH), Fe(OH)3 rich soil.
http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Chrysler/1936Dodge5.jpg http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Chrysler/1936ChryslerAd.jpg 1/4 window shape - check symetrical split rear window (top to bottom) - check upper hinge placement relative to 1/4 window on suicide rear doors - check A-pillar angle - check (Hudson's are way more upright) angle of rear window and transition to bustle trunk - could be drip rail - these pics are slightly longer (further down the 1/4 window) than the rusty hulk has. Maybe a 34/5 Dodge/ Chrysler/ Plymouth, which I can't find a picture of in original condition (no body mods)?
no way , i was pissed when i found it all smashed up. i wonder if it has a frame. i should bring a shovel next time
yeah, its in covina. you cant see in the pictures, but i cant imagine how this car even got to the location its in.there is no possible way you could drive a car to where this is at.im thinkin it went off the cliff thats right behind it.
