I wanted to put shocks on the rear of my model a with a transverse leaf spring on 32 ford rearend brackets so the spring is behind the rearend. There doesnt seem to be enough room between the spring and reaend. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for any help.

    Dave,

I have never used the stock rearend brackets, could you send a picture.
Have built a flat crossmember for 32 rails and also Model A crossmember and always used the
laddr bar mount at the rear of the axle and the shocks have mounted infront of the crossmember when using the Model A member.
Give us some more information or a picture would be great so we can help. Just can't remember what the stock mount looks like.

Stock 32 (32-34) hangers are shorter. Ever see a 32 spring? It curves back away from the axle. They do make a narrow straight spring for 32-34 hangers, but you may have to change your crossmember. Easiest route might be new hangers.
