Here's the real question though... why get your ******* in a bundle? ;)

It's your car, you know what it is, and fact is that the kid probably thought he was complimenting you.

Just remember, it's the thought that counts.

I'd have replied with "Well, I think it's more of a well finished hot rod, but thanks for the compliment anyhow man."

Beautiful car by the way. You done well. :D

So he didn't know a "rat" rod from "hot" rod., maybe nobody ever explained it to him. At least he appreciated a nice ride when he saw it and was man enough to express that appreciation. Who knows, maybe next year you'll see him in a real car because of yours and because you didn't blow him a bunch of **** about calling it a rat rod..........

I heard the same thing when I went to one of John Forces cruise nights. I said "what the ****?...whatever!" and parked across the street. Then watched guys cross to look at my Merc. The next show, after I flamed it,they parked me right in front. I guess they figured,NO shiney paint...RATROD!. I haven't been back. Too many billet ****rods there anyways...

  5. nope but its a really cool hot rod !! ****in kids just dont know any better .. forget about it!

You should put a 572 crate motor in it, and some sweet Boyd's 24" wheels with low profile rubber. Tint the windows BLACK, chrome it to the nuts and then it would be pretty nice.... That's the only way to fix your "rat rod".

PS- that's one of the most beautiful cars I've seen, and if you change a thing on it I'll burn your house down.

On the same level of stupidity, a server my girlfriend (Heather) works with is trying to stop drinking sugary beverages. She tells Heather instead of drinking pop, she has been drinking regular lemonade from the tap because it has no carbs. Puzzled; Heather asks the server to show her where it says "no carbs." The dumb*** takes her to the box of syrup and points out the words "NON CARBONATED." After laughing a bit, Heather explained to this blonde bimbo, that non carbonated means no "tiny bubbles" not sugar free

    Some people are mentally F%&*-tarded
    .

Anyways, I love this car and had been watching the build. Nice job

  12. Nicest looking rat rod I've seen in a while.... where'd ya have it built?
Would've looked better if ya did'nt paint it though.......

J/k..... that's one beautiful hot rod.

BTW: what's worse? rat rod or dune buggy?
The other day I was out in the 55 Plymouth. Old guy says "I had one just like that, but it was a Ford.... I think it was a single spinner".... sigh...

It can't be a rat rod, because you have a $50 rug under it at the show!

Is it just me, or does the car to the right of yours have some ugly flames. I swear it looks like a stick-on flame job...

Sometimes it's less stressful,to use the opportunity,to educate some of these people. It's the only way, they will learn. If done with the right tact,it's also fun to see how embarr***ed,you can make them in front of others.;)

    Hey Scott,
When I came upon it @ the GNRS I thought what and interesting Hot Rod! A lil low for my taste, but not for you & it's your car.
I lean toward the early stuff style wise. I stared @ it for a while, took in the lil details, such as the marine carbs and the Packard caps on (I may be reaching here?) Kev's Spun Aero Discs. and that very nice blue paint!
That is a 1st cl*** Hot Rod and it should have been in building 4.
Pat yourself on the back, The mod that you had was a "Rough Rider" this is on the oposite side of the spectrum.

At least the guy didn't hit you with the ol' "I used to have one just like this..." ********.

I think the kid was trying his best to give you a compliment, he just doesn't understand the state of the art. I bet if you explained it to him, he would like the car even more. When I was a kid and asked dumb questions, the older guy took time to explain thinga to me. The older guy was Bill Hines.
If you punched somebody out as many times as some advise, you would spend a lot of time in jail.
Beautiful (correct adjective and name here) car by the way, the wheel covers are a stand out.
