Does anyone know of a source for small quantities of metric square tube (in the 60 to 70 mm range)? Most of the engine stands and cherry pickers and lots of other stuff originating in China in particular use the metric stuff. I have done a bunch of surfing without luck for small quantities somewhere in the USA..

Very common, found in any hardware store, the next aisle over from the Metric drive socket sets.

Oh, I almost forgot, you have to go to a metric country.

Sorry, I missed the last three words of your post, my bad

I don't have my catelog close, not sure if they have it, but try Metric Screw and Fastener. The phone number is 1-800-metric1. They have lots of stuff and are excellant to buy from. I'm thinking they are located in Mass.

McMaster Carr would be my suggestion. They seem to have everything.

Can't you find a standard size close enough to your needs?
Try TW Metals.com. They wont have the metric but may come close enough.

Try Parker Steel in Ohio. www.metricmetal.com They only sell metric materials and If you call them they usually have partial sticks or drops so you don't have to buy the whole piece. Their shipping and crating charges are reasonable too... DAVE

hanks Dave. They are the only suppl;ier that came up on a google search. I had not called them because their website had an $85 minimum. Did you buy a small quantity (less than $85) sucessfully from them?

I don't know about the minimum, I guess I've always bought more than that. I'd give them a call and see what they say. They almost always have the sizes I've needed. DAVE
