It's not really a HAMB subject, but I've been doing nothing but checking out a site called gunnarracing.com for the last few days looking at their restoration pages, which shows the rebuilding of old racing Porsches step by step. That got me thinking about all of the other step by step project car sites that I enjoy and I figured I'd share what I have discovered so far, and see if anyone else has more. They may not all be HAMB friendly, but you have to admire the work and maybe even learn some new techniques. So here goes: www.gunnarracing.com Early racing Porsche restoration. Tons of stuff. http://members.provalue.net/studes/ '54 Studebaker under construction. http://www.airbum.com/NeatShtpix/Roadster.html '29 Ford roadster. Neat story, I believe he is a HAMBer. http://www.corvaircorsa.com/V-12-01.html Jag V12 powered Corvair, http://waitz.dnsalias.org/leftFrame.html '53 Stude Bonneville car. Another HAMBer. http://www.hotrodindex.150m.com/WillysPuppp.html '37 Willys pickup. Starts with a wadded up ditch car and makes it whole again. http://www.the-antidote.com/frames/1home.htm '29 A pickup. http://www.projectvixen.com/index.htm Delorean. http://landyachts.homestead.com/index.html '51 Merc. HAMBer. Anyone have something cool to add to the list?
Not really HAMB material but the work on this thing is breathtaking, especially when you know that this is the guys FIRST project and learned to work metal and weld for it! Cobra Daytona Coupe replica............. Take the sequential tour, this thing is amazing! http://members.aol.com/coupechuck/
www.nitronova.com has the story of a guy restoring a vintage nova funny car he found in a field. It doesnt get updated much but what's aalready there is cool.
Roy Brizio has a lot of pictures of his buildups on their website. Rolling Bones also has a project page but both don't update often enough.
Once in a while I check out Rad Rides by Troy: http://www.radrides.com/proj.htm They do some amazing work and their fabrication is top notch. Inspiring. Malcolm
Two more... http://project33.com/ http://www.clubhotrod.com/forums/hot-rod-talk/23618-project-3-k-underway.html The projects are completed now, but there's much to learn here.
