Ok thought this would be cool, lets see your mail box's , Lets see what ya got, mine is a 34 ford 3 window and is a kit you can buy. Chris
Cool stuff, esp. your Caddy box ratster. Unfortunately, if I put up something like that around here I might as well paint a bulls eye on it. I doubt it would survive long enough to be stolen. Mail box jousting is alive and well in my neighborhood.
In Highschool I painted up our families mailbox to resemble a early 60's VW safari van, slammed, baby blue and white.........I looked awesome. It lasted a week there before getting stolen. Cool mailboxes, lets see more.

Wow , those are some way cool mail box's, love the flathead one and the lovered ones, very nice stuff , let's see some more. Chris
Here is mine, a real US MAIL BOX, found it in a junk pile with the back broken out of it. Made a new back for it and it hangs on the back porch. BB
Our box is now very traditional,,,just plain ol' black. I had a cool flamed mail box a few years ago,,,,even though it's against the law ,,,,,,,drive by smashing mail boxes for sport is still alive and well here in the sunny south. HRP
Knew a fella in Texas with the same problem; his mailbox was always getting smashed in a drive by. So, he took the old box and straighten it out, repainted it, and stuck the address on it. Cemented a heavy steel pole into the ground for the stand, and used a quick release pit pin, to secure his mail "boxes" to the pole. Every weekend evening he would "switch" his mail box out. The "old" one he filled with cement. Now he has to pick up broken baseball bats, axe handles, and broom sticks. He stores his ligit mailbox on a shelf on the back on his kids bus stop shack he also built. It does'nt happen as often as it used to, and he gets a kick out of thinking some dumb*** kid has probably got sore hands, and has to buy a new bat.
No pic, it's too damned cold out! I now have a black mail box with flames and it's still there after 15 years. Before I moved to this house I had to build one out of 8" X 1/4" wall square tube, weld it to heavy wall machine tube and sink it in concrete. The regular ones I had at my old house wouldn't last a month before they were shotgunned, baseball batted, and run over. The new one was indestructable, and I wished I could have seen the next idiot's expression after he took a swing at it with a baseball bat when he broke his arm!!
