  1. These are the plan for the Nomad. I think they look "right".

Coolest car I've seen in a long time. I want to build one like it. Wish I had more info about it. Obviously a pic from years ago....

each to their own. to me that might as well be a donk.

good luck if you ever have to go around a corner at more than 30mph!

WOW. Something changed inside my brain when I saw this photo. I don't know why I was even checking out this post- I'm not exactly a tri-five fan. But there is something visceral, something OLD and REAL about this, not "ol' skool". I think I just had one of those epiphanes- like the first time you saw a traditional roadster in a sea of pastel-and-neon Camaros, or like getting into dad's car books as a child, the books being from when he was just a boy. I probably sound nuts, but this is serious! It is like when one smells a fragrance that reminds them of something so familiar that it may not have been in their lifetime. (Now I sound downright femmy). Anyway, I can't stop looking at that car. It reeks of history- just like it is.

I'm in the process of buying a '57, 2 door wagon and had been looking for different wheel / tire combos and stumbled on this thread. I had seen this pic a while back and fell in love... I think I've figured out what shoes my wagon needs to wear.

    The car in question...

These absolutely ruled in the early sixties. There were even "faux' chrome wheel covers, from J.C. Whitney!
(And to me, spider caps on painted wheels miss the mark.)

I like these. But chrome reverses would have been my first pick.

  25. I prefer the torque thrust type wheels or a chrome reverse wheel on a 50,s car.

Chrome reverse make the whole car. 15X7 w/ cheaters and 14X5 w/ skinny bias plys. I wouldn't have it any other way

My dad's 57 210, I like this look. The '55 above is a neat car, but the super widened wheels and the stance don't say "sleeper" anymore, they have a much different effect.
