I believe this has been discussed before. In the sixties, Alex Xydias of So-Cal Speedshop fame would take this film around to different venues, usually High School auditoriums around southern california to teach prople about hot rodding.

Here is an original poster for the film signed by Alex.

It's been "found" a million times.
As long as the HAMB keeps growing, it'll probably be found another million.
    Hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting this. At the 8:57 mark in part 2 I was happy to see the dual engine Harley (The Monster) that was built in the early 50's by a local guy that owned a speedshop in Chalmers Indiana. His speed was 157.20 which would have been a record but one engine blew up on the return run.

My son's and my first trip to the Salt was to see him make a run to celebrate his 50th anniversary. What a great time and I've been out every year since then. He has run every year since then too and will be 80 years old when he makes another run in 2008.

I've p***ed this info on to another friend that will show him the clip on Saturday, wish I could see his face.

PS He has many still photos take on the salt in 1955.
