Kinda funny seeing the HAMB referred to as the "other board".
There are other boards out there?

I would like to thank the poeple at Hemmings,(which I do look through for parts), for not using the term "rat rod".

It is somewhat ironic that a HAMB friendly car is more likely to win at Prebble Beach than at a major Hot Rod Show.

if you want to award a car based on building skills and craftsmanship and other criteria, then call it that. don't call it americas most beautiful roadster. the 2 seldom ever go hand in hand.

maybe the show should switch the name of the award to most fancy roadster and let us pick the most beautiful one.

Hemmings left out one of the best lines in Ryan's article

"On Sunday, the award will be presented shortly before we run like hell for the border.":D

when I read that, all I could picture was Ryan riding in on a black horse, sumbrerow around his neck blasting his 6-shooter in the air, packing a trophy in his saddle-bag....

but since I have no idea what Ryan looks like... I just pictured him as Clint Eastwood

The downside of all this is that clients will now attempt to buy taste, ricadudolous!

The author of the above mentioned article is a very well liked and respected member here on the HAMB. In fact he was just here for dinner at my house a couple of weeks ago while he was in town doing another article.

Maybe it's not too late to get the A.M.B.R.'s prestige back. If a number of awards are given out, say The B.O.T.B.B. (Best One That Boyd Built) or the B.O.T.F.B. (Best One That Foose Built) etc., then "everyone else" will be horse-blinded-happy and the trophy can then be RIGHTEOUS once more.:D:D:D

our goal should be to pick 'America's best roadster' or 'America's traditional inspired roadster'.. or just plain 'Best Roadster'

Yeah, Daniel is a good dude.

Any case, one thread is enough on this subject. We are gonna let our actions talk.
