I know I am milking this one but there has to be more info/pictures/or dare I say a website on this car. Maybe the owner/builder is an H.A.M.B member? Not sure but I just cannot get enough.

I thought this was a traditional rod and custom site? What's next, a van with bubble windows ?

looks like some cobbled together **** to me.

no need to lecture me on "the look", ****, he doesn't even got the look down right!

can't tell much from the pics, but judging from the rear leaf springs, he has LIFT BLOCKS in addition to the foot long shackles, and what can be said about those hokey ladder bar mounts? even "in the day" there was right and wrong, that is all wrong.

the front spring mount and shock mount has already been critiqued, but how about the steering you can't see much of...you can see in a couple of the pics a thin black line crossing down in front of the axle, i'm guessing that's the draglink. yikes.

i've driven some unsafe cars myself, but i'd be scared ****less to take a full throttle ride in that, judging from what little i can see in the pics.

Yeah, that 45 degree bend in the drag link looks really scary? Can you say "FLEX"? Shock and spring mounts are a hoot, I'd like to see some close-ups of the rest of the suspension. Anybody wanna bet the pinion angle is WAY OFF?

The mid & late 70s was when I was active in hot cars. Being a 20 yo with money and performance knowlege, I was a bit dangerous. During that time peroid, in our town, there were several of this style raised car that were rolled over. Nearly all of the roll overs were a result of someone playing race car driver and loosing control. Lots of power, wide rear tires, narrow front tires and the high at***ude over came even some capable drivers. Kick the rear to one side, over correct and swing back the other way often resulted in the bottom side coming up. It was really pretty amazing how far those car roofs came down, most were right to the top of the high back bucket seats. Its a wonder more weren't seriously injured. I think most were simply very lucky. Funny how after someone rolled over a car, the next one was a bit closer to the ground. There was a reason why the trend was short lived. If you happened to be riding with someone that rolled a car and got to crawl out of the back window because that was the only opening you could fit through, you weren't ready to do that again real soon. One would tend not to ride in any car they thought might be "top heavy". Wasn't much fun to be cruising alone, the cars' at***ude soon came back down to earth.

Just before I built my first hot car, I had a buddy roll over his mile high Fairlane. He got to spend a week in the hospital, the roof came down to the top of the doors. He was lucky. Scared the hell out of me. My car was low. Gene

Heh heh, sputum if you got 'em...sorry, I've got wet socks and Spenom sounded a lot like sputum, and seeing as how this thread resembled something hacked up from a lung, well, I couldn't resist.

I hope I don't get made fun of to much for this, but when where these in style? What would be the cut-off for period correct? See the thing is I have this basket case 70 chevelle I am married (deacsed bro and laws car...) to, and just cant get myself to build a resto-modded or restored car. It would stand out less in a crowd then a toyota camry on the freeway...
