Anyone out there know who made the scaled down version of the Cadillac batwing air cleaner. The good all steel cleaner would be WAY too large. I didn't see anything in earlier posts. maybe it's not what I want ,but I'd like to see one. Thanks, any help is appreciated! Later manacoem

There was an article in an old Rodder's Digest about making one.

They used an exhaust U-bend for the scoops on the side and fabricated the rest. Turned out pretty nice.

There was a HAMBer who made one and detailed the process in a tech week post. It was bad ***. I think he used an old propane cylinder and some exhaust elbows as mentioned earlier. Worth looking for. The finished product was TIGHT.

Thanks for all the info It looks like the *****in Air cleaner is just about right.. Their info says that it is scaled down to about 3/4 size which would work .. The height is not the problem, the HEI and radiator hose placement is... But it would be a lot more fun to Fab my own .. Great sugestions and just what I was looking for. I would still be interested in seeing the tech article if anyone has it ! Thanks again for the help ! Jerry ( manacoem)

Since you're an Alliance Member, why not go to Riley Automotive and ask Eric for one of those *****in' Products Cad-style air cleaners. 10% off plus free UPS shipping. Not a bad deal on a good lookin' part.
