...I'm lookin for the owner of this 38 Chev coupe to contact me; or if anyone knows him, forward the info to him or me. This pic was taken at the Hunnert this year; car/owner is from Iowa.
The hood says Eggleston Speed shop. Egglestons are from the Red Oak Iowa area and run a tow company/rod shop. They build some kick*** cars including the Gold Dodge 60's show rod with the hemi in Rod N Custom a few years ago. I've met the guy that owns the car and am thinking he's from the Council Bluffs area but don't know much more than that and am by no means positive of that even. If you are really desperate, you can look Eggleston's up on Google and they may be able to help track him down. That is as good as I can do for you... Mootz
I got a buddy that's had one (not that one) since the mid 50s. I think maybe it can be bought but I'll have to ask him. The car was built in Galesburg Illinois. I met the owner when he and I both worked at Bell Auto Parts back in the 60s. He now makes his home in Nevada. Wolfie
Russ Eggleston is his brother, I believe. A phone number doesn't show up for Russ on WhitePages.com. However, I found a number for Eggleston Towing (in Red Oak) that I will PM you. They will hopefully be able to direct you to the owner. Hope you get the info you need. Malcolm
The owner is Mason Eggleston, he's Russ's cousin and he lives in the Des Moines area. Hope this helps!
