Hey guys just picked up a 64 Cadillac. Post any pics that you might have. I was thinking of keeping it mostly stock but cutting the coils and adding some WWW. Post them up.
YOU NEED TO JOIN THIS BOARD: http://groups.msn.com/196364CadillacCommunity/general.msnw They actually have a few modified ones there, but hands-down, they're the best '63 & '64 Cadillac board online, period.
Here ya go ! None are mine and I can't take credit for the pics either, just some I came across on the algoreweb. Enjoy !
Can I add a quick hijack and ask for pic's of 60's too (seen some already) , picking up this SDV on Sunday ...
Um... okay. You might also like to post a few pics at the new '59 & '60 Cadillac MSN group here: http://groups.msn.com/Cadillac1959-60community ~Jason
Caddys make great cruisers... I bought this one a year ago as a rough but solid stocker. Slapped some paint on it, made some grinder whitewalls, and slammed it down a bit... only had $2500 in the car. Got an offer I couldnt refuse so down the road it went Here's my Old 60 also...
Jeez Dan, seems we have pretty similar taste in cars. Aside from owning '64 Riv's, I also owned a '60 Caddy Coupe DeVille ! Although yours is/was muuuuuuch nicer than mine. I was young and inexperienced when I bought mine. After a huge section of 1/4" thick bondo fell off the front fender, I realized what I bought..... a 70's resto piece.......live and learn..... Todd
great pics and ideas. these are the cars that the wife and i are wanting to get. just has to be a drop top. thanks for posting everyone.
I cut only one out of the front. The rear was already sagging and had those cheezy turn in spring helpers in the coils, so I just removed them. It sat pretty low just like that but could probably go a notch lower and still be ok for a driver. I would start w/ one coil and drive it for a week, let it settle, get new shocks and see if it needs more by going 1/2 at a time. Pain in the *** taking it apart and re***embling but once you do it a couple of times you can do them in about an hour. <hr> Haha... yeah i noticed that too... Gotta love big ol 60's GM Hooptys!
