    I betcha he had two dimes in the shoes that would make four phone calls.Younger guys will be saying "what the hell are you talking about," but older guys will know exactly.

    I used to have two quarters in mine. I think Hollywood movies of the 50's created the image of the hot rodder that is trying to be emulated by the greaser/rock-a-billy hot rodder of today. Too bad there isn't a doorway that we could go through to go back to that time. There are only the images that freeze time, like this photo, that we have to experience.

    The British Invasion was on the U.S. music industry. We Canadians,were a British Commonwealth Country at the time,even still had the"Red Ensign" flag flying at parliament hill. Pretty hard to invade something that is already yours.:D Thanks RATATAT,great picture.

    That top looks like a carson type, it looks too smooth to be folding top. Here's another scenario... What if the couple were tourists on their honeymoon, who had stopped for gas at the Golden Eagle and said "Let's get our picture taken next to that old ****box for a laugh" The pump jockey greaser with the tats and engineer boots who works there took the picture of the couple and his car....
