I recently bought a 4" chopped 32 ford 4-door. It's a very decent old hot rod that I've been after for 42 yrs. It's been in a the garage all this time waiting for me! I'ts complete and in great shape. What I need is a little info. Does the front seat on a 4dr connect from door post to door post like a phaeton does? Does the rear windows [behind the back doors] roll down?
Is there any one within a 100 miles of Crown Point In. that has a 32 Ford 4dr [complete] that would be willing to let me look at the car and take measurements?

OK see if this will work. The picture coming out of the garage are the first time it saw daylight for 20 years. It was completely covered with boxes. billrinaldi

That is one cool car. I'm hammering my 33 4dr, hopefully it'll be as mean as your deuce. Do just enough to make it roadworthy. Awesome!!!

O.K. Bill,,,I have a 32 mor-door,,and no the seat does not connect to anything but the floor,,same as a 2 door,,

The rear windows roll down about 1/2 way and the quarter windows roll down about 1/3 of the way.

And I'm nowhere near ya,,,but I will be glad to help with any questions.

Nice looking car,,,,but ugly tail lights:eek:.HRP

Hey I finally got the pix file to open! I'll try a couple more. Thanks hot rod primer! If this old ride can look JUST HALF as good as your black beauty I'll have the BEST I could ever hope for! The car has two 2dr sedan style double fold seats up front and what appears to be reupholstered original rear seat. There is no window mech. on the "opera" windows, just two wood "rails". The next set of pix are after I got the car home and gave it a good bath, as bad as the interior looks, it cleaned up well! billrinaldi

OKKAYYY About those tail lights. Today it's nuts to do that! But in 65 it seemed like a pretty good idea. They are 64 Mustang, nicely adapted, but sorry Charllie they GOTTA go!! The history of the car, as best we can find out. It was originally built sometime in the 50s, it has a dropped 32 Ford axle, unsplit bones, original 32 steering box and 41 Ford front brakes. When the guy I bought it from bought it in 1961, the top was chopped 4in. had a locked up 322 nailhead Buick, a 30 something Ford trans and rearend. The 19 year old buyer bought it from a guy named Mike Palermo from the South Chicago [Illinois] area. The new owner junked out the drivetrain and put in a 265 small block, a 59 chevie 3 speed trans. and 57 [or so] rearend. they also did the taillights, the N***au Blue paint job and the very nice wiring job. By 1965 when I first saw the car [and first offered to buy the car] it was the way it is today. The owner got married and the car got buried in the various garages of his life. I still managed to keep track of the car and even got the promise "If I ever sell it, you have first choice" After 42 years,I own it!!! Damn Lucky Me! billrinaldi
