Do you have a 55 chevy with Hurst or Radir Tires?

    Hi,
Well I went to the Speedorama Car show in Toronto, Ontario this weekend. It ****ed so hard. Where did the 80's car show go? **** **** ****! However, I did see a set of Radir and Hurst Tires that one vendor had. I thought they looked really good and thought they might look good on my 55 chevy g***er project car. I was wondering if anyone has run these on there 55 and was wondering too if anyone had any pics of a set of them on a 55 chevy just to get an idea of what they looked like on a car.
    Thanks

Here you go. This is a pic of Stlouisg***er's 55. These are the 10'' Radir. This photo is during mock up but you can see the good look it had. Springs were move in on this car.

Here's a shot for 'ya. These are the 15x10 Radir slicks mounted on 15x9 1/2 magnesium American 5-spokes. Kinda tight on the inside but I "pocketed" the leaf springs into the frame rails and that gave me just the little bit of clearance that I needed on the inside. I thought I was gonna have to split the wheel tub to fit these wheels but thankfully, they fit perfect without having to do that. I originally mounted the Radirs with the white walls out and while it looked good in my head, it just looked terrible for some reason in person. So it quickly became black walls out and I was very happy with the final results. Kinda cool to note that these magnesium Americans are the ones that have always been on the car since its transformation to a G***er around 1964-65.

I just ordered a new set of rear wheels from Wheelkid here on the HAMB that will allow me to put my Radir 10.00-15's (8"rim) IN the wheelwell of my '55.

However, I can't guarantee that the spring location/wheelwells are totally stock, as this has been a drag car since the 60's; but everything in the rear certainly looks factory to me (with the exception of the '57 Pontiac rear).

Here's what it looked like with the 10.00-15's (on a 8" rim) a little too far outboard to fit IN the wheelwell (the tread was in, the sidewall wouldn't quite go):
