Does anybody have a modern paint code for " Washington blue " that I can just go to my automotive paint store and mix up ? I could go for base clear OR acryllic enamel....I'm guessing it was originally a 36 ford color....thanks in advance........

Give fordbarn.com a try. Some folks over there know this stuff. Maybe not a modern code, but something to get you started, at least.

I come up with a formula # of G8381 in Dupont. If you're looking for Base Clear it would be K8381 for Chromabase (if they have carried the same formula over).

I have to stop at my Dupont Jobber after work tomorrow to pick up some starter brushes they ordered for me. Matt's pretty good about letting me poke around on their Colornet computer. I can see what I can find and write down a mixing formula for you.

We just did a 34 Ford that color.... Funny thing was the only code the paint shop had for it was in Lacquer. We got a pint of Lacquer, did a sprayout, and had it mixed in DBC, I believe. I can check the # tomorrow, and let you know what it is if you still need it.
