    I have a chrome offy tripower and chrome ramshorns for my 283 and now working on Polishing my 48's out for chrome and need some inspiration

    Hello..I wouldn't chrome them..You'll find that you can polish them to look almost like chrome, beautiful shine..Remember the heat involved in chroming, with that ****eral metal, you never know what is going to happen

    Yea i know, i was going to take them to a good, reputable chrome place and i was also going to build screw on block off plates so it doesnt get in the threads and ports i know, i'm stupid, but i live in washington and i may get caught in some rainstorms and dont want to have to repolish them... but i'll see what they look like when i'm done polishing

    Btw i cant find prices for SP tops anywhere they are being repopped arent they??

    Duane is right, you would be better off to polish the snot out of them and clear coat them. That way they will stay shiny for a while. A clear urethane with hardener will do the job and won't wash off with fuel. As for the tops see O'Brien Truckers they have them as well as Vintage Speed.
