just wanted to post a message to let any of you who knew him know. his talent, p***ion and sarcasm will be dearly missed. sincerely, deltron.
Sean was a big part of hot rodding for a long time. He had a great vision on how to build traditional and street rods. He ran a successfull business for many years. He also was an amazing musician that could play the hell out of an acoustic guitar. A bit taken from his website http://www.hotrodworld.net Norm Grabowski at a recent trip to his house March 2006. Norm, the Father of the T Bucket, and renouned actor, notably in Disney's Blackbeard's Ghost,,Monkey's Uncle, Elvis' Roustabout, and Hooper a****st many other whacky rolls, has been a friend since 1976 .His origional T roadster was the hot rod seen every week in the TV series, 77 Sunset Strip in the early 60s, which set the pace for all the T buckets since that era. We are pictured here together at his house,, We had fun Ed Roth... I met Ed Roth, the icon of Weird and super artist of Hot Rodding, whoes alter ego was Rat Fink, in September of 1984 at a rod run in New Jersey. We became good friends till his death. Here are a few pictures, first in 1984,,Ed Roth, my friend Richie (magician) Antonek, and me,,, and the others were taken at my booth in NY, where he introduced me to those large pretzels with mustard.. Pictured with me, and Big Daddy, are my sister ,the brunette,, and my wife Pam the blonde. The last time we saw each other was at the Oakland Roadster Show in 1999.. Ole' Rothy was a great man, and Im very proud to have known him both as an idol, from childhood, and a friend. We will have a memorial cruise for Sean and his family. We will keep everyone informed of when and where. Sean will be terribly missed by all. ******Knuckles
I considered Sean to be one of my closest and dearest friends ever. I have known Sean since 05 and have spent ALOT of time with him since then (several times a week and talked to him on the phone every day). Those of you who have had the opportunity to meet him know he was truely "a hot rod legend". Sean has built hot rods for over 30 years and knew his craft up one side and down the other. I am so proud to say I have the very last piece of his work that he ever did. He delivered my 31 Tudor sedan to my house on Wednesday before p***ing on Sunday and boy is it ever the piece of art! We were looking forward to the debuting of the car at the Detroit Autorama on March 7-9. He was so excited and so was I. I am still going to make the debuting of the car along with a tribute to his legacy in the hot rod business. Any of you that are able please come by and check out the car and take a look at the talent that has left us. I know that Sean would want me to still take it. Its just ashamed that he will not be there to bask in the glory with it. Sean was a great father to his 3 daughters Connie, Christine, and Pammie. I witnessed his love for those kids day in and day out on a regular basis. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers. Sean, Im gonna miss ya man. You were a true friend. Love Ya Brother, Dustin
From what I have gathered from family is that there will be a visitation on Friday. He was an organ donor and that makes it a day or two longer than normal. I will post arragements as soon as I find out. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks guys and keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
The visitation IS going to be on Friday. I dont know exactly what time, as soon as I get that I will p*** it on to you guys. It is going to be here in NC. Thanks HAMB'ers. I havent been on here to much before but the love you guys show is unbelievable. This is truely a HUGE loss to the hot rod community! Lets all hold our PBR's high in the air for such a hot rod legacy he left behind for all of us to carry on. That is exactly what he would want! Thanks again guys!
