  1. the gl*** in the dodge cab.
54 dodge truck with split front windows and 3 rear, both rear side windows are curved. I have all the new rubber, none has a lock bead.
I am going to have a squirt bottle with soapy water and some rope cord, I'm guessing small like a 1/4 type nylon rope from lowes.

any other clues or wishes of un-broken gl*** you wish to heap upon me?.:D

Good Luck with that Tim, save the curved gl*** until last, build your confidence and skills up with the flats and if you do break anything, I can probally get you some OEM replacements.

...instead of the rope, I've used a length of electrical wire like 14 or 16 guage , lube the pinch welds with dishsoap first, it really helps. You don't need a lot of soap , just run some around the pinch weld with a finger; the rubber should pull/slide rite over the pinchweld nicely.Good luck.

  9. ^^ pinchwelds?
and are you saying put the rubber on the gl*** first then work the rubber to the truck frame?
I was thinking it would be easier with the rubber on the truck and work the gl*** in the rubber.
    now that you mention it,
I guess it would be safer to have the gl*** in the rubber protected and work the frame of the truck instead of the gl***.

    dizzamn! thanks :)

I've got a chunk of nylon, kinda like a tongue depressor to help roll the rubber in.
