CHOPPED - The new Aussie magazine for rod and custom enthusiasts

Received a subscription email from this magazine this morning and wonder how they got my email address. Did anyone else from the HAMB get one? Could they be mining members? I'm not a member of any other hot rod forums so it made me curious.

Since this is the only hot rod site I subscribe to, I can only figure that they went through the profiles and got my address.

 

I got one also..made me wonder if it was a hoax or if its real. Be nice seeing some aussie rides, but i held off until i ear more.

Glad it wasn't just me. I figured they lifted my email addy from the benefit auction where I posted my email. Not a good way to get me interested in buying something though. That said, I'll wait 'til I see a copy to decide. Mike

I got one also. Just noted it was there. I would be far more likely to subscribe to something with someone noting a new mag on a board than sending an email. I never read general emails.

I got also one, kind of strange that there is nothing else on the website than some information on how to spend some money?!?!? Nothing about the content of the magazine. I think there someone trying to fool us.
Beside I never heard something about this Magazine before and it is kind of expensive.

Yup, just checked and I have one from them. Only a handful of people have this email address, so it must have come through here.

If it is done 'blind' - i.e. they can't see my actual email address then I don't have a big problem with it, other than I thought we were supposed to be spam-safe.

Its a REAL Magazine Just released in Australia, produced by Ryan Ford (son of Eddie Ford-one of the ORIGINAL Aussie rodders).....by all accounts, Junior is a real stand up young fella and one of the happeninest stripers in Oz!

Friends have told me its a pretty cool little rag with full access to his father's photo archives from the earliest days of rodding/biking/dragstrip action.......possibly a 'well-intentioned' friend thought he was helping the guys out with some global promotion, but without any kind of sample of the actual product that HAMBers might be interested in,..........it all comes out like that shifty spam shit.

Maybe someone back home can point him in a more productive marketing direction, on top of some of the possibly less productive tips the SPAMMED HAMBers will no doubt offer!

I hope its clear that I have NUTHIN to do with any of this....and there aint NO WORD ON THE PLANET more official than "nuthin"
