Does anyone know if the side trim on a '55 Buick is interchangeable between the 2-door hardtop and 2-door sedan?

I know the rear quarters are different but i've never inspected the curvature of the wheel wells up close on both models. Anyone ever deal with this?

    Thanks.

They are the same. The trim pictured below came off a hardtop. Look for 55 & 56 trim, they interchange and it will broaden your search. Good luck. Let me know if I can help you out with anything and I will do what I can.

Check this place out. http://wheatbeltbuick.com/ Nice mom & pop place. Very helpful and decent prices.

    Good luck! Dave

    Thanks dude. You rule.

My '55 Sedan is about to get some paint laid down and I wanted to get some 'fresh' trim.

Beautiful car...I dig the black and gray.

Here she is before body work and primer:

No recent photos but it's nosed, decked and shaved except keeping the port holes and side trim. 95% of the car is in primer right now and i'm going through the painful task of deciding the exact color scheme.

Head's kinda leaning towards the old Caddy lime green poly or AMC's woodside green poly. Decisions decisions.

 HOLY **** that's nice!!!! UGH, so jealous of all the chrome!!! Forget it! I ain't helpin you out with nothin!!! :D

I didn't realize you already had all the side trim. If you are looking to have it straightened or something, let me know. I had a guy do the p***. quarter peice nearest the door for me. He wasn't exactly cheap but the work he did is nothing short of amazing.

Damn, I think I'll go lick my wounds now.

****...old OLD LS1 days. Same ol me...i just came to my senses. After 4 LS1 powered vehicles and increasing amounts of fibergl*** surrounding me I had to do a little soul searching. I dig the Merc...gotta work out some chrome issues though. :D I know you'll do it up right.

This Buick is rad and is about to be nothing short of stunning as soon as I stop being **** about the color. Most of the trim has some dings and bends but i figured trying to get it fixed would be just as expensive as getting a nice straight full set.

I'll send you a PM when I get home about your contact. Thanks again!
