I have a too street rod '32 roaster [the d is left out in Florida if you don't have a top] with a belly****on and Th700r4. I have a 354 and adapter to the Chevy trans. will this squeeze in without sliding the trans back? I have plenty of underhood length because the wheelbase was stretched in that area. Who makes the hemi mounts brackets that fit the Chevy insulators? I want to have th car down as short a time as possible.
Ah Ha...another convert to some real hot rod power. Of course the installed length depends on what you leave on the front of the 354. Drag out the tape measure. Schumacher Creative Services might have info on the brackets.

The block length on the sbc and the hemi are very close, if you have extended motor area in front of your cowl you may be in great shape, as for the adapters, grab a tape , some iron , some ingenuity, and go at it, no one will have a direct bolt in cross over setup, tooo many variables. When you have the hemi in, you will be one happy camper. Don't let him fool ya, that guy in orygun knows his hemis. Mike
