The moment you've all been waiting for. The final photos of the peaked hood that KustomBuilder and Roadstar worked so hard on. A very special thanks to KustomBuilder for the metalwork and to Roadstar for all bodywork and finishing. The amount of work to accomplish that little peak is mind boggling. I had no clue. I'm very thankful and appreciative that they are both good friends of mine and willing to help with the sometimes overwhelming undertaking of "Project Big Olds"

It's hard to see the peak with the sun reflecting off the hood. These were just some quick shots before I went cruzn and I wasn't really thinking when I took them. I'm sure I'll take some better ones this weekend at the party and Billetproof. Been thinking about sticking on the stainless side spears and beltline trim for the summer. Might dress up the grey primer alittle more [IMG]

Hmmm, I dunno. After looking at it now, I think you should have run the peak all the way down the front. Is it too late to change it? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Very funny! [IMG] [IMG] That little flat, non-peaked area in the front is going to have a very nice piece of pin-striped artwork [IMG]

I'm thinkin' Donzie is headin' in the right direction with continuing the peak down the front of the hood. I'd fair the lower end of the peak into a tight-radius lip formed across the forward edge of the hood, blended into a lip on the forward fender edges of the grille-surround that ran down to the ends of the upper grille bar and faded just as it reached the horizontal grille finisher.

Now, a suggestion, folks, about getting your pics ready for the 'net . . . Looks like you might be getting a bit too "sharpness-happy." Lines that should be straight and crisp show up on my screen as raggedy "sawtooths" that, in my experience, result from an extra level or two of sharpness being selected when finalizing an image before sending it to a disc for storage or the Internet for transmission.

    Just a suggestion . . .

When I download your pictures and view them in Adobe Photo, they look terrific, which tells me that there's a problem somewhere along the line.

Just something to think about . . .

That was a hell of a lot of work for something that looks like it has always been there. But then that is the magic of being subtle: People can't work out just what it is that makes your vehicle so different [IMG]

    Denise,
It sure looks good. It makes you appreciate the amount of work that goes into a full custom.

Looks great Denise....The only thing the car needs is a spiked front bumper to run over the people who want you to change the hood style....it's perfect!!!! [IMG]
