I got a delivery last night, some parts I had been waiting on. you know how it is, kid in a lollie shop.

These werent a new purchase, I bought them mid last year, they have been sitting at a mates place until recently.

The old man an i are working on getting the pieces together for another ride, and to me these are the crowning jewel for the motor. I have a WEIAND fetish probably due to hearing stories about Phil Weiand since I was a kid. Consequently I have collected a few WEIAND bits and pieces. A WEIAND 4 barrel to 2x2 adaptor was also in with these.

Anyway, this is for a 401 nailhead we picked up as the motovation for the new project. I havent seen to many WEIAND plug covers for nailheads, so I had to have these. Sure they look just like any other plug covers but hey, its that small WEIAND that gets me every time. Hell its block letters too! but I love it.

    here they are.

and here are the rest of the pieces. the plan is to have the motor detailed to the max. real 60's show sort of motor. I bags not keeping it clean! Should look good.

I love going out in the garage and dreaming...

when new parts turn up, I have to see how they go with the rest. Thanks to DMarv for the Offy stuff too.

I too have a huge fetish with Weiand nailhead parts. I have the plug covers, valve covers ( althought the script is upside down), Been looking for a matching weiand intake but the offy I have will do.. Ya, DMARV is the man when it comes to offy speed equipment. Your set-up will look killer!! Oh ya, I also have a set of weiand aluminum finned marine exhaust manifolds! I can't wait to get a project rod that is suitable for them.

Pretty... now you just need the valve covers... I don't know if Weiand ever made a 401/425 manifold (besides 6x2 which fits all of them), I've seen 364 manifolds, though rare... but there does seem to be a bunch of 322 ones out there..

Dressing-up nailheads isn't cheap, but it's worth it. Here's my 401 (since this photo was taken, I polished the intake.....tons of work, but it turned out nice):

I've got Weiand 3x2 and 2x4 intakes for my 322. They show up on ebay a couple times a year. I've got the plain Weiand logo--I've seen them with the "Say Why-And" logo.

Looks Great! We used to run a setback nailhead in a Henry J on the dirt tracks. She had tons of torque off the corners and would run out of breath before she ever overrevved. Just a superb engine. They never looked as pretty as yours though.

Now that is going to be a nice nailhead!

I also forgot the EELCO polished finned valley cover.

would love a set of the weiand finned valve covers though.

There's a real cool set of old FENTON nailhead valve covers in the cl***y-fieds. I'd think those would be a killer addition to any nailhead. Very old school....

Here's my tricked out "show" setup, six 97's with Scott tops. It's as close as I could get to that Ivo F.I. look without actually installing one.
Six 97's would require carrying six fire extinguishers according to a friend so only the two middle ones work. Usually run a standard Edlebrock 4 barrel for around town.[IMG]

Funny thing. I was planning on getting my polished intake bead blasted to bring it back to cast looking. Seeing Corey's convinced me I should. We could have swapped. :(

Be careful! I bought a set from e-bay and the damn script was upside down. I had to make brackets to mount them correctly.

This is not my nailhead but it is what I want to do except with plain finned valve covers. Not vintage but made in Finland I think. Don't think I'll polish the Webers though.
