great story and those drawings are totally awesome! I see something similar to Littleman's mid engine driving out of the trunk idea kind of thing.

~Thanks those drawings are very Kool.
One day I was running errands here in Alameda, I came out of the grocery store and some knuckleHead and His Girl were crawling all over the Hi-Boy and asking questions like, "How fast is it?" Where do you BUY cars like this?" "Where are the fenders?" I answered all the questions an explained it was my errand day and I was running late. The Guy says" If you don't like talking about your car, maybe you shouldn't have painted red!" I was just about to lose my cool when this Little old Lady pushing her cart asks "What kind of Mill are you running?" I said "A Chevy 327" she yelled back " You should be running a Flatty! I ran a Flatty with a Eddie Meyer Hi-rise and dual Pots!" We talk for over an hour she told me how she would race her "34 roadster around Lake Merrit and drag race through the Cherry orchards in San Leandro, I love old people, They have the stories and great memories.

  24. Wow..this is a great book, especially for those of us from the area.My dad was an old hot rodder from the Jingletown area of Oakland back in the late 40's..all the stories from him and his friends are a big part of my car addiction.I can't wait to get this book and show my mom(she too has many stories from dad's old days).Sadly, dad and most of his buddy's have p***ed on,but no doubt they would have loved this book..thanks for the info bushwhacker..and thanks to 1badnova for sharing this:D
